School Choice & Enrollment

DPS believes all families should have equitable access to the schools they feel are the best fit for their students, regardless of their background or where they live in Denver. In some parts of Denver, DPS uses shared boundary enrollment zones. An enrollment zone is a geographic area in which students are guaranteed a seat at one of several schools, rather than one particular school. Click here for more information on DPS enrollment zones.

Whittier ECE-8 is in an Enrollment Zone.

All incoming preschool students, and incoming kindergarten students who reside in an enrollment zone, must complete an application. If your student is in kindergarten through 11th grade and is staying at his or her current school for the following school year, you do not have to fill out a SchoolChoice application.

Whittier is enrolling for 3 and 4 year old preschoolers and is excepting applications for all grades K-8.

To submit your application, sign in to your SchoolChoice account and apply to the school or schools in which you are interested. If you don’t have an account, you can create one using your email address or a current Parent Portal log-in.
