3rd grade students had a fun afternoon visit with Mortenson Construction! The kids heard from people with a variety of roles such as those in accounting, planning and designing, and building. The students received their own hard hats and a ball keepsake. Be sure to ask your 3rd grader to tell you about the different jobs in construction!
Here’s a problem the 3rd graders had to solve: A construction foreman puts up 23 beams before lunch and 13 beams after lunch. Then, she has to remove 5 of the beams. How many beams are still up?
